Soldering process


The soldering system is mounted stationary on a table and includes all components necessary for the soldering process.

This modern soldering system is equipped with an oscillating contact pressure regulation for the PCD tip during the soldering process. This regulation secures bubble-free soldering and an optimal connection between the cutting tip and the carrier. The contact pressure regulation can be adjusted easily and clearly at the display of the operating panel. It is possible to assign different contact pressures with defined frequencies to the pieces to solder during the soldering process.

It secures by its construction a constantly reproducible soldering result:

  • Secure positioning of the PCD tip relative to the carrier plate
  • Constant soldering temperature – secured by the installed infrared pyrometer
  • low influence of the operating personnel

As the soldering parameters are firmly pre-set on the machine new employees achieve excellent soldering results already after a very short training time.

The cutting-tip pick-ups for the different cutting-tips are designed as exchangeable parts, minimising the changeover time in case of a model change.

The BOKESCH soldering machine SE9910 SA x LP/2 is designed for simultaneously soldering two carbide tips onto an end milling cutter.

Loading the soldering machine occurs manually and is supported by video monitoring. The soldering of the carbide tips onto the carrier and the ejection of the finished cutter occur automatically. With this highly efficient constellation of operating procedures manufacturing times of ca. 30 seconds per cutter are achieved. End milling cutters up to an outer diameter of 30 millimetres can be soldered.

This soldering machine is equipped with an oscillating contact pressure regulation for the cutting tips during the soldering process.

This regulation secures bubble-free soldering and an optimal connection between the cutting tip and the carrier. The contact pressure regulation can be adjusted easily and clearly at the display of the operating panel. It is possible to assign different contact pressures with defined frequencies to the pieces to solder during the soldering process.

The machine's setup in connection with its pulsating pressure difference facility enables very constant and precise soldering. As the soldering parameters are firmly pre-set on the machine new employees achieve excellent soldering results already after a very short training time.

A smooth work cycle is ensured by the employment of a programmable logic controller.
